A: The GiftCertificates.com Rewards MasterCard is a prepaid card that, when purchased, is pre-loaded with the dollar amount highlighted on the front of the Card. The Card can be used at millions of merchant locations, including retailers, restaurants, salons or other merchants that accept MasterCard debit cards up to the value loaded onto the Card. Online gambling is prohibited. The Card cannot be used at ATMs, for cash withdrawals or for recurring bill payments. Q: I just received a GiftCertificates.com Rewards MasterCard. Can I start using it immediately?
A: Before using your Card, you must activate it online
or by calling our automated Customer Service line at 1-877-737-0200
. You must also sign the back of your Card immediately upon receipt and should make note of your Card number and our Customer Service number in case your Card is lost or stolen. We suggest that you confirm your name and address
as well to assist us if your Card is lost or stolen. Enter your Card number and card validation code from the back of your Card. Click on “Card Information” then “Update” to update your personal information if necessary. This will also allow you to make online purchases with merchants who verify name and address against the purchasing Card. Q: Are there any fees associated with my GiftCertificates.com Rewards MasterCard?
A: Yes. A Monthly Maintenance Fee of $2.00 per month beginning on the 13th month from the day of purchase will be applied to any remaining balance, except where prohibited by law. The Monthly Maintenance Fee will continue to be deducted from your available balance until the balance reaches $0.00 and will not cause the Card balance to fall below $0.00. If we send you a Replacement Card for a lost or stolen Card, the Monthly Maintenance Fee will still begin in the 13th month after the original Card was purchased. Please refer to the terms and conditions of the Cardholder Agreement for additional fees that may be applied to your Rewards Card.
Q: Does my GiftCertificates.com Rewards MasterCard have an expiration date?
A: Your Rewards Card is valid until the “Valid Thru” date printed on the front of your Card and you cannot use the Card after the expiration date. While the available funds on your Card do not expire, they may be reduced by service fees or other fees as described in the terms and conditions of the Cardholder Agreement

if available funds remain on the Card after the “Valid Thru” date and we can provide you with a Replacement Card for a Card Replacement Fee of $15.00. This amount will be deducted from the remaining balance. If you prefer to receive a check for the remaining balance, a $20.00 Expired Card Check Fee will be deducted from the remaining balance for the check issuance and mailing. We may hold the available funds for up to 10 business days to ensure all transactions have posted.
Q: What should I do if my GiftCertificates.com Rewards MasterCard is lost or stolen?
A: Please insure your Card’s safety and contact Customer Service immediately at 1-877-737-0200
if your Card is lost, stolen or used improperly. You must provide your Card number and other identifying details. We cannot provide a Replacement Card if you do not have your Card number available. A Replacement Card will be mailed if our records show that there are still available funds remaining on the Card. A Card Replacement Fee of $15.00 will be deducted from the remaining balance. The Replacement Card will be in the amount of the available funds on your Card at the time you notified us that it was lost/stolen.
Q: Can additional value be added to the GiftCertificates.com Rewards MasterCard?
A: No. Your Card is not reloadable and is no longer valid once the value has been depleted from the Card. After you are confident you do not intend to return any merchandise purchased with the Card, destroy the Card.
Q: How can I check my Card balance or review purchases made with my Card?

A: The Card can be used at millions of merchant locations that accept MasterCard debit cards. Simply present your Card at the time of payment for products and services and, if presented an option, select “credit” rather than “debit”. Using the signature you used to sign the back of the Card, sign the merchant‘s receipt. Be sure to retain your receipt for your records. You agree to use the Card only at merchants and services for lawful purposes. Q: What if I do not have enough remaining balance on my Card to cover the entire purchase price? How do I combine other forms of payment?
A: Using your Card in conjunction with another form of payment varies by each merchant’s policy. You may be able to use your Card’s remaining balance by performing a “split tender” transaction, using your Card for a portion of the final purchase price and paying the remainder of the balance with another form of payment. If merchant policy allows a split tender transaction, request that a specific dollar amount be placed on the alternate form of payment first, and then use your Card to pay the remaining balance. Some retailers have restrictions governing the use of “split tender” transactions. We do not guarantee a merchant will accept two forms of payment, such as two gift cards. Please verify the merchant’s policy prior to your transaction.
Q: Why do some merchants pre-authorize for an amount larger than my bill?
A: When using your Card at merchants such as restaurants, hotels, car rentals or for similar purchases, a fixed percentage (approximately up to 20% or more) may be added to the amount reflected on the bill presented to you. This pre-authorization is in expectation of the tip or other incidental expenses incurred. If you have insufficient funds on your Card, this increased pre-authorization amount may cause a declined transaction. Any pre-authorization amount will place a “hold” on your available funds until the merchant sends us the final payment amount of your purchase. This may take up to 7 to 30 days and during this period you will not be able to use any available funds in a “hold” position. Avoid a decline of, or a “hold” on, your Card by asking the merchant to authorize a specific amount. We do not guarantee the merchant will fulfill this request.
Q: Can I use my Card to “pay at the pump” at a gas station?
A: When using your Card at a gas station, we recommend you take your Card inside to pay the station attendant directly rather than using your Card at the pump. For “pay at the pump” purchases, an automated request for a pre-authorization of up to $75 or more may be submitted, regardless of the amount of fuel you might actually wish to purchase. If you have insufficient available funds on your Card to cover the pre-authorization request, your Card will be declined. However if you have available funds on your Card to cover the pre-authorization request, you can continue your transaction at the pump. The dollar amount of your actual gasoline purchase may be less than the amount of the pre-authorization request, resulting in a “hold” of available funds equal to the difference between amounts. Once the merchant sends the final amount of your actual purchase, the “hold” will be removed for any additional amount exceeding this final amount. This may take up to 7 to 30 days and during this period you will not be able to use any available funds in a “hold” position.
Q: What about returns, exchanges or problems with merchandise I purchased with the Card?
A: Prior to completing a merchandise return, please verify the merchant’s return policies. Returned merchandise is subject to the return policy of the merchant. Funds may not be available for 3 to 7 days if the merchant agrees to issue a credit to your Card.
If you have a dispute with a merchant over a purchase made with your Card, call Customer Service at 1-877-737-0200. You must initiate your dispute no later than 60 days after the receipt was issued on which the error appeared. Please refer to the terms and conditions of the Cardholder Agreement for further details on disputing a transaction on your account.

A: The Card can be declined if there are insufficient funds on the Card to cover the amount of your purchase. You are responsible for keeping track of the amount of available funds on the Card. Additionally, if your Card is declined for an online purchase, the merchant may be attempting to validate the name and address you provided during the purchase with the name and address associated with your GiftCertificates.com Rewards MasterCard.
